Toothache- probably the worst pain that usually hits you at night when your dentist is not available to fix it. What can you do? You can try painkillers that usually don?t give you much relief or you can go to the ER where if you?re lucky, they have a dentist on call.   

There are some herbs that can get you through the night, give you relief and reduce the infection, inflammation until you can get to the dentist.

Clove

The essential oil of this herb is a natural pain reliever and antibacterial as well. You can place a drop directly on the aching tooth and gum with a cotton swab, it will numb the pain instantly. You can chew whole clove or crush it and put it on your tooth.

Turmeric

You can make a paste with some water and place it on your tooth; it is a great anti-inflammatory and pain reliever herb.

Garlic

Usually everyone has a garlic bulb in the kitchen, crush a clove and place it directly on your tooth.

Chamomile

If the pain caused by exposed nerve due to cavity or a broken tooth, strong chamomile tea can sooth the nerve used as a mouthwash. 

You can try a paste made of:

½ teaspoon of goldenseal powder

1 drop clove bud essential oil

2 drops chamomile essential oil

Mix them with enough water to make a paste.
